AfricaCom Panel titled “Using emerging technologies to support a vibrant and secure digital economy”

Addressing the question of how to use emerging technologies to support a secure digital economy in Africa at AfricaCom last year, Africa50 COO, Carole Wainaina, said one of the key challenges to last mile connectivity in Africa, is infrastructure. Africa50 is uniquely positioned to bring together relevant players in the last mile value chain to implement effective ICT infrastructure solutions. The Africa50 Innovation Challenge is an initiative designed to do this.
