UNIT (Universal Network for Internet of Things) provides connectivity to any assets without need of ground infrastructure thanks to its unique satellite technology.
UNIT targets essentially applications with bidirectional low data rate requirements (messaging types) and heavy cost and energy constraints, typically : agriculture and fishing smart metering, personal and asset tracking, energy and water facilities monitoring and control, fleet management & connected vehicles or global environment monitoring.
Airbus has been developing this technology enabler for 5 years and provides it to Telecom System operators to empower their system and IoT “Internet of Things” telecom business with this technology.
